We will still be asking COVID screening questions prior to each appointment.

COVID-19 - July 2021 Update

Despite the government easing of COVID restrictions across the country there are no real changes to our policies and procedures outlined below in our May update.

Our priority remains keeping our patients and staff safe whilst visiting the clinic

We will still be doing regular cleaning between each appointment.
The therapists will still be wearing PPE.

COVID-19 - May 2021 Update

Lathom Physiotherapy Centre are pleased to confirm that the clinic remains open for Physiotherapy and Massage appointments at the current time.

The safety of our patients and staff is paramount and we continue working hard to ensure all visits to the practice are as COVID-19 secure as possible, adhering to PHE and CSP guidelines, we appreciate your understanding and co-operation at this difficult time.

Following the very positive feedback we received for the video consultations we introduced in 2020 we are continuing to offer this service to patients who are shielding or prefer not to attend in person. For self-paying patients, these will be charged at £35 for a 40min session, however, should we feel that the follow-up would only require a shorter time of up to 20minutes the charge will be £25. The fee for Face to Face in-clinic treatments remains at £45 for a 40 minute session, unlike many other practices we have decided against increasing our charges to cover the cost of required PPE for patients and clinicians.

For patients attending the practice we have made the following precautions in line with the requirements made by our professional body. We hope you appreciate that the safety of patients and the practice staff is paramount:

  • We will be doing pre-appointment Covid-19 screening at the time of making your appointment, and in the 24hrs prior to treatment whenever possible.
  • We will be wearing appropriate PPE and patients will be required to wear a face covering.
  • In order to minimise contact with other patients and to allow us to clean the practice after each patient leaves we ask that you wait in your car until invited to enter.
  • On entry to the practice hand sanitiser will be supplied and a member of staff will take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer. Should your temperature be high, and remains so after re-testing, you will be asked to leave and make a further appointment when it is deemed safe.
  • The treatment door and/or window may be left ajar to allow for free circulation of air, confidentiality will be respected.
  • Payments should made by card, preferably contactless, or by BACs as we are unable to accept cash.

If you have any queries or would like to speak to us regarding how we can help you please get in touch by telephone or email. Please be aware that we are not currently operating our usual hours and may not always be available to answer your call, but we will call you back as soon as we can.
